Queen Bee Quilt Shoppe LLC is a full-service quilt shop located in Cutlerville, on the southern end of Grand Rapids, Michigan. Our business is built on great customer service, superior products and supplies, and loads of inspiration. Included in these offerings are the freshest fabrics, books & patterns, notions & needlework supplies, classes & clubs, giftware & home decor items and our on-site custom longarm quilting service. We opened the doors to our shoppe in May of 2011 after months of planning and hard work, and have enjoyed every moment of it. We are buzzing with excitement as we look foward to serving your quilting needs.
Custom Longarm Quilting Service
Brenda has been quilting on her Gammill Classic Plus longarm quilting machine since November of 2007. She does freehand work and loves the fact that it allows her to add a personal touch to each and every quilt and to enhance the artistry of the quiltmaker. Her specialty is custom quilting, but overall quilting is another option. Pricing is per the square inch (length x width = s.i.), and begins at a penny and a half (.015) per square inch. Rates increase based on the complexity of the quilting required. The average custom quilting job is priced at three cents per square inch. We are currently booked out 10-12 weeks, so don't wait to reserve your spot on our quilting calendar!Our Products
Queen Bee Quilt Shoppe has a fabulous and diverse selection of 100% cotton, top-quality fabrics from such lines as Maywood Studios, Red Rooster, Moda, Timeless Treasures, Lecien, Henry Glass, Blue Hill, Lakehouse Dry Goods, and many many more. The style we love most is that vintage, romantic, cottagey, cheery, bright, homey and inviting. This is reflected in our fabric selections. We have many batiks, tonals, and solids. We carry a large variety of children's prints and panels. We revel in our romantic floral picks, and offer an insane selection of polka dots. If you want it, we probably have it. If you need it, we can likely get it.
Setting us apart from the average shop, we carry a full line selection of Aurifil in both 220yd and 1440 yd spools, 40 wt. The designers love Aurifil, and so do we. We carry Cosmo floss from Lecien. This is a beautiful floss with an incredibly silky feel and it doesn't tangle like many other flosses do. We have a conversion chart for those who want to make the switch from DMC. Once you try it, you won't want to go back to the same old thing. We have a selection of Valdani hand-dyed 3-strand floss, and continue to add to this group. This is excellent for punchneedle projects. Wool for penny rugs is also on our radar. We have many woolfelt colors as well as upcycled and hand-dyed felted wool pieces for your stitchery projects. The list is endless...

Wool
We have a great selection of wool and wool felt. Many beautiful hand dyed wools, featuring a fresh shipment from Primitive Gatherings. These items, along with a host of lovely samples are featured in our new Wool Room.
Cosmo
Cosmo is the best embroidery floss! It feels like silk, and it doesn't tangle like many other floos brands. Perfect to use on your stitchery projects.
Aurifil
This top of the line thread comes from Italy, and is the first choice of the top designers in the quilting industry. Known for its beautiful colors, sheen, and lint free disposition we know that it will be your too choice as well. We currently carry the 50 wt., which is perfect for piecing by hand or machine and also works well for domestic machine quilting. We will be adding other weights as well as the 12 wt. wool threads for hand embroidery and stitchery in the near future.
Valdani
We carry Valdani 3-strand hand-dyed embroidery floss. To add an element of texture and richness to your stitchery projects, you will want to try this. Many colors available, and many more coming soon.
